Mostaccioli di Soriano

Mastazzola

Honey and flour biscuits shaped like hearts, fish and horses.

Flour, honey and little else: the dough is shaped by hand into figures decorated with coloured foil. They are sold at fairs and patron saint feasts all over Calabria.

How to eat it

Given as gifts at festivals: they are hard, bite gently.
